Yeehaa!! ZGM in the Stampede spirit!

Every July, Calgary plays host to the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth – the Calgary Stampede. And one of the more unique, fun and neighbourly events associated with the Stampede is the Pancake Breakfast.
Our client, Market Mall, hosts one of the largest every Stampede, with over 12,000 people rolling through to enjoy a couple of pancakes, sausages, beans and juice. Obviously it takes a few helping hands to flip and fry all that western goodness, so we put on the cowboy hats, boots and jeans and went to do our bit.
Unfortunately for the guests, the rain came today and the temperature dropped. Still thousands of people braved the weather and came out to enjoy the free food, the music, pony rides and more.
The weather didn’t dampen the cowboy spirit – although it did make for a few soggy pancakes. Lots of cute kids in their western wear, a few brave souls dancing and riding the ponies.
Thanks to Market Mall for providing this fun escape for Calgarians. And thanks to Heleena,
James, Umer, Luke and Mario for pitching in.
Next Stampede event – ZGM goes to the rodeo Thursday. Watch for pics from that.
